INTERNATIONAL BALLET CLASSIQUE

Critics know The International Ballet Classique for its variations in ballet and choreography. Others appreciate that the company brings a new element to the ballet movement. Throughout their existence, IBC has successfully showcased its talents in the U.S. and other countries around the world. Besides the traditional ballet, the group always intends to add the fun to the competitions and performances. At the upcoming festival they hope that people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds will appreciate the arts of the Russian community.

Anastasia and Denis are known for their success in ballet and choreography. Some of their past performances include Classical, Contemporary, and Balanchine styles of those arts. When Anastasia was younger she remembers dancing in front of the television and joining an organization known as the KANUHKA. As for Denis’s earliest inspiration, he remembers his parents as ballet dancers performing at the opera and ballet theatre. Growing up, Anastasia and Denis took advantage of professional studies and were able to see ballet throughout Russia.

In 1995, the two moved to the United States. It was not long after that Denis guest starred in the Pittsburg Youth Ballet on Gala of Memories, Performance of Memories, and Regional Dance America competition. Anastasia was involved in the Ballet Arts of Minnesota, the Chicago Ballet, and the Richmond Ballet. Denis became affiliated with Moscow Renaissance Ballet, and the Richmond Ballet. Then in 2000 they started their own ballet school - Academy of International Ballet. Two years later they created the company they currently run, The International Ballet Classique. Last year, Anastasia was awarded the Outstanding Teacher Award for The Youth American Grand Prix (YAGP) and the Teacher of Distinction (Junior Division) for The American Ballet Competition 2005.
